Nafia Akdeniz
Poet, ethnographer and researcher, Nafia's research interests include narrative communication, place attachment, memory studies, refugee studies, creative writing, critical methodologies, contemporary ethnographies and poetic inquiry.
Nafia has been carrying out an ethnographic research on Varosha Narratives, as Mnemonic Resistance, and explores the narratives of forcibly displaced Varoshians as place meaning making processes of refugee experience and conceptualisation of the past, the present and the future.
