Olena is one of the artists selected for APOSTAXIS, a programme of residencies, co-creation workshops and exhibitions exploring resonances between Ukraine and Cyprus's histories of displacement. She is a Ukrainian visual artist based in Warsaw, Poland, working across collage, painting, digital graphics and mixed-media to explore identity in its many manifestations - with a particular focus on migration, displacement and the search for home.
Olena Kulish is a Ukrainian visual artist currently based in Warsaw, Poland. Started her independent practice in late 2022. Olena uses collage, painting, digital graphics and mixed-media techniques to explore the concept of identity in all the variety of its manifestations. The main topics of her artistic interest are migration, displacement, searching for home, freedom, feminism, memory and connections between times, places and people. Since the beginning of her career Olena has participated in several group exhibitions and artistic residencies in Ukraine, Poland, Germany and other countries. In 2024 she presented her first solo project “Regaining” at the residency in Przemysl, Poland.
